SPOTLIGHT: Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School (Video on Impact of Spectator Behavior)

Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School
Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School is a fully accredited, college-preparatory day school for 3-year-olds through 12th-grade boys and girls. The campus located just inside the perimeter in Northwest Atlanta began back in 1959 as a small, parish pre-school. The school occupies 49 acres, with separate Primary, Lower, Middle, and Upper School facilities, a fine arts building, two modern gymnasiums, and sprawling athletic fields and facilities. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest independent schools in Metro Atlanta and one of the largest Episcopal schools in the United States.

H. E. Hodge Company has supported HIES’s growth over the years by installing basketball goals, indoor bleachers in both gymnasiums, divider curtains, wrestling mats, climbing ropes, corridor lockers and more. Servicing this equipment like the indoor bleachers has kept the main gym bleachers going for over 20 years! Ruth Donahoo, HIES Athletic Director shares, “Whenever I need service, Jeff Hodge is just a phone call away. He takes care of whatever I need to keep our equipment running, and I appreciate how he just gets it done and I don’t have to get involved. The students here are very spirited and can be hard on equipment like bleachers especially during home basketball games and the responsiveness to our needs is why I do business with him.”

Speaking of student spirit, recently a short video about the impact spectator behavior has on student-athlete performance produced by HIES was released. Narrated by student-athletes, it is a reminder that actions and words are powerful, and HIES students strive to lead by example by encouraging others to be positive.Holy Innocents Episcopal School
